The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) currently only includes rentals forhousing (paid by tenants) and auxiliary housing expenditures (paid by both tenantsand owners). The inclusion of an item for owner-occupied housing (OOH) would bedesirable for both representativeness and cross-country comparability.
